Joshua Sims

Joshua Emmanuel Sims was born on 11 November, 1938, in St. Andrew, Barbados. He lived with remarkable dignity and purpose across eight decades, raising ten children alongside his beloved wife Sylvia and building a home that became a gathering place for family and neighbours alike through every season of life.

Joshua never sought recognition, but his influence was felt in everything he touched — from the fields he tended with care to the quiet advice he offered to his grandchildren. He is survived by ten children, twenty-four grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren whose lives bear the mark of his example.
